Parasite Prevention

Internal and external parasites are some of the most common problems affecting household pets. Fecal samples, heartworm tests and a routine physical examination can determine whether parasites are the leading cause of your pets’ possible discomfort. At our clinic, we highly recommend doing parasite testing and prevention every year.

Some common parasites include:

• Fleas
• Ticks
• Heartworm
• Intestinal worms
• Skin and ear mites

Prescribed treatment for parasites that we offer can include but is not limited to topical treatment, oral chews, and in-home premise sprays. Each treatment will vary based on what the doctor determines will work best for your pet.
